Joel is currently based in New York City, where he recently completed his Master of Music under jazz guitarist Peter Bernstein. He also had the pleasure to study with such musicians as Ari Hoenig, John Scofield, Brad Shepik, and Chris Potter. Prior to his studies in New York, Joel earned his Bachelor of Music from Ambrose University in Calgary, where he studied with guitarist Ralf Buschmeyer. In the summer of 2019, Joel was a participant at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity’s Jazz and Creative Music Workshop under the direction of Vijay Iyer and Tyshawn Sorey.

Talia R.
Guitar, Ukulele
Beginning her career in Boston as a solo acoustic guitarist, Talia R. now studies and works as a jazz guitarist in New York City. Talia regularly performs around New York City, though she has played in a wide range of international venues including the Duc De Lombards in Paris, the Kofferfabrik in Nuremberg, and the Banff Center for the Arts in Alberta. In June of 2018, Talia was a featured artist for the Belize International Jazz Festival in Belize City, where she performed both solo and as an accompanist and gave guitar masterclasses, workshops, and private lessons.

Adam B.

Adam B is a classical guitarist, singer-songwriter and percussionist. A Cleveland, Ohio native, Adam started his classical guitar training at the age of 8. Since then he has become an innovative musician, educator and arranger, bridging the styles and techniques of classical guitar and popular musical styles. Adam has given solo and chamber music recitals in NYC, the Manhattan School of Music, Baldwin Wallace and the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society, as well as competing in the Fuchs Chamber Music Competition.

Gary R.

New York-based guitarist, Gary R. began playing guitar at age 14, growing up in Wichita, Kansas, listening to Pop, Rock, Blues and Motown, and especially inspired by the music of Jimi Hendrix. Gary holds a BA, in Jazz Guitar Performance from Wichita State University, where he worked with the Tom Fowler Quartet, and played in WSU’s “Jazz Arts I” big band with Matt Wilson. The Wichita Jazz Festival has twice presented Gary with their “Outstanding Musician” award.

Music To Your Home offers lessons ranging from 30 minutes to an hour and a half in length. You will choose the type of lesson you prefer, pick your teacher, and pay for your lesson online. When you play along with your instructor, they can observe you play and offer feedback on ways you can improve. Your teacher will be able to share resources like sheet music and other tools you will need.
