As a flute teacher she helps shape her students’ growth by building excellent technique, but also honing their musicality and finding their own true sound. Alyssa studied under Dr. Adeline Tomasone of the Philadelphia Opera Company from the age of 16 through her time at Temple University. Alyssa also took extensive courses in musical theater and voice throughout her undergraduate education. She spent time teaching Middle School Choir, Band and General Music before moving to New York City to study at CAP21 Musical Theater Conservatory where she studied with Dr. Pamelia Phillips and Heather Petruzelli. She prides herself on guiding her voice students to find their own unique, true voice and a sound that is healthy and free of tension. Alyssa is well versed in how to make the sounds that are required of a musical theater performer today (legit, belt, mix, pop/rock, etc.) and works well with students of all ages. Alyssa is thrilled to be teaching with Music To Your Home!
