During her time at Conservatory, she studied singing roles including Dido from Dido and Aneas, Orfeo from Orfeo ed Euridice and grew a love for art songs, especially lieder. Beyond the classical scope, Ashlee has also studied musical theater, pop, and jazz to round off her skills as a performer and educator.
In her teaching career Ashlee specializes in early childhood music, teaching beginning singing technique, music literacy, and music appreciation. She also conducts choruses and piano ensembles in her school for all age groups. Within her ensembles, she arranges and composes songs suitable for her students’ levels and interests. In her private lessons, Ashlee focuses on building a strong foundation in musicianship and musical literacy, while enjoying the joys of music. She hopes to inspire her students and create a space for them to explore and grow academically and emotionally through the study of music.
