Bio

Born and raised in Boston, MA, Ben currently lives, studies, and performs in New York City. He primarily doubles on the Tuba and Trombone, but also plays the Trumpet, French horn, and the Cimbasso. Ben plays a wide variety of styles that include Classical, Latin, Jazz, and Funk, and has played with legendary artists such as: Gilberto Santa Rosa, Tito Nieves, Tony Vega, and Tony Succar among others, as well as with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Band, Mingus Big Band, and orchestras and opera companies at Symphony Hall in Boston and Leipzig, Germany. His teachers include Sam Pilafian, Angel Subero, Marcus Rojas, Steve Davis, Misha Grandel, and Eguie Castrillo. Ben loves to teach and is committed to guide every student to their greatest potential, in whichever direction they want to go!
