  • Briana has 5+ years of teaching experience with her students ranging between ages of 5 through 50. She believes in using a variety of method books and outside curriculum to accommodate each student’s needs. She has used her audio engineering skills to better perfect virtual lessons to students all over the country. Some of her favorite music software programs to use during lessons are Logic Pro, Finale and Protools.

Bio

Briana is a native New Yorker and resident of the Inwood section of Manhattan. Briana began playing the piano at the age of four years old, combining improvisational techniques along with traditional hymns and melodies. Briana began formal piano and theory studies with Lev Samarov and earned her BA in Film Scoring and Music Engineering at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Briana teaches lessons to inspiring musicians of all ages in Piano, Voice, and Guitar for private and online instruction. She teaches classical, contemporary, and popular music with a strong emphasis on proper practice techniques, and ear training to further the education of beginners. She has directed choral music and small ensemble that broadens the genres of vocal repertoire to accommodate the student’s ages and interests. Her private voice lessons pay strong attention to teaching beginning singing techniques, improvisation, and creating a well-rounded foundation in musicality. As a composer, Briana pays close attention to making music theory and sight reading a key component of the curriculum in every primary instrument. Some of her other interests include cooking, gardening, playing video games and traveling. Briana is excited to be a part of Music To Your Home!
