  • After living in Calgary, Canada my whole life, I moved to NYC in 2018 to pursue my MM at The Juilliard School. Having recently graduated, I am excited to bring new approaches, techniques and ideas to my teaching. I have taught students of all ages and stages of life for over ten years, and I strive to teach every student with a unique method that fits their individual learning styles, skills, and personalities. It brings me so much joy to see my students flourish in their musical development and beam with excitement after performances!

Canadian pianist Bronwyn S. recently completed her MM in Collaborative Piano at The Juilliard School with her primary teacher Lydia Brown, as well as with Jonathan Feldman and Brian Zeger. A two-time winner of Juilliard’s Honors Recital in Alice Tully Hall, Bronwyn has also performed on WQXR’s “Midday Masterpieces,” in Juilliard’s Focus Festival, and regularly in Juilliard’s Sonatenabende and Liederabende series. Prior to her studies at Juilliard, she completed her BMus under Edwin Gnandt at Ambrose University in Calgary, where she also completed her BA in English. She has attended the Franz-Schubert-Institut (Vienna), Mountain View International Festival (Calgary), SongFest (Los Angeles), and Toronto Summer Music. In addition to summer festivals, Bronwyn has held the operatic coach and accompanist fellowship at the Atlantic Music Festival (Maine) and the coach and répétiteur fellowship at Aquilon Music Festival (Oregon).
Bronwyn’s musical career also includes a decade of teaching experience with individual students and with group classes; academic presentations at the Ambrose Research Conference (Calgary, AB) on topics ranging from Ear Training to Theodor Adorno to The Book of Hanging Gardens to Britney Spears; published journal articles, including some most recently in The Juilliard Journal; experience leading and conducting choirs and small ensembles; and experience in editing, administration, and publishing work as Managing Editor and Event Coordinator for Canada’s Palliser Music Publishing. For years, Bronwyn has performed as a soloist and in ensembles for hospitals, retirement homes, and other care facilities in Calgary and NYC. She is thrilled to continue bringing her music to the broader community.
