- Chris has been teaching a variety of disciplines to all ages and skill levels for 5+ years. He has a relaxed and fun teaching style that prioritizes student interest in repertoire selection and study. As a “late-starter” himself, he has valuable insight into beginning piano at any time in life. Above all, he aims to foster a life-long love of music in his students.
Bio
Chris G. is a composer, actor, writer, pianist, music director, and sound designer originally from Northwest Indiana. His most recent musicals, Impact (music) and Illumination (music), had selections featured at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater in NYC. His short work Astronomer/Star-Weaver (music) had its premiere production in Albuquerque, NM with FUSION Theatre Company. He co-conceived and music directed A Very Bloody Christmas Carol (music & co-lyrics), which premiered in 2019 at the Greenhouse Theater Center in Chicago, IL. He served as composer & sound designer for The Wood (2018), Caged: An Allegory (2019), and Footholds (2019), all premiered by The Impostors Theatre Co., of which he is an Associate Member.
