Experience

  • As a pianist, Claudia is not only passionate about creating music but also dedicated to enriching the musical education of others.  She has multiple years of experience as a private piano teacher throughout NYC and New Jersey.  Claudia has taught students of all ages at various musical levels, ranging from children as young as 4 years old to senior citizens.  The lessons are designed to be engaging and unique for each student.

Bio

Claudia H. has received multiple awards from international competitions and has appeared numerous times at prestigious concert halls through the US and Europe. She has performed at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, as well as Vianden Castle in Luxembourg. In December 2021, she received the 1st prize in the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition and performed at Teatro Studio in Parco Della Musica Auditorium in Rome, Italy. She also recently received the Gold Prize in the 2021 Global International Music Competition. In June 2021, Claudia gave the world premiere of music by Hyung-ki Joo in The Oculus at the World Trade Center to celebrate the re-opening of New York City. She was also recently named as a national finalist in the 2020-2021 Piano Performance Competition of theAmerican Prize and received the Bronze Hands Award in the 2021 Carles & Sofia International Piano Competition.

Claudia has been featured as a soloist performing multiple concertos, including Mozart Piano Concerto No.12 in A Major, K.414 with the Plainfield Symphony Orchestra in 2014 under the direction of Charles Prince, as well as Beethoven Concerto No. 3 in C Minor and Mozart Concerto No. 20, K.466 in D Minor with Orchestra Sinfonica del Festival di Chioggia with conductor Pietro Perini. Claudia has also received multiple scholarships from various competitions and festivals, including the Eric John Bundy Memorial Fund Piano Trio Scholarship from The Rocky Ridge Music Center in Estes Park, Colorado (2017) and the New Jersey State Teachers Association High School Scholarship Competition (2015).

From New Jersey, Claudia received her undergraduate degree in Classical Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music (MSM) in 2020. A scholarship student, she is currently pursuing her Master’s at MSM with her teacher Nina Svetlanova.
