Experience
Connor has over nine years of experience teaching violin and viola to all ages and levels in group and one-on-one settings. Having completed Suzuki Teacher Training, Connor teaches using a combination of Suzuki method and traditional approaches, tailoring every lesson to the individual student.
Bio
A seasoned violinist and dedicated educator, Connor M. was born and raised in Salt Lake City where he was an active member of several local ensembles such as the Salt Lake Symphony and Great Basin Baroque. His career has been marked by notable achievements including winning 3rd Prize in the 2019 ENKOR International Chamber Music Competition and the Chicago College of Performing Arts Award, which afforded him the privilege of performing as a soloist with their orchestra.
Connor holds advanced degrees from the University of Utah and Roosevelt University, where he had the honor of studying under the guidance of renowned mentors Almita Vamos, Ralph Matson, and Dr. Kasia Sokol-Borup. With over nine years of teaching experience, he has shared his expertise at numerous institutions. Currently, Connor lives in New York City where he continues to inspire and educate the next generation of musicians. In his spare time, he enjoys jogging, playing video games, and reading fantasy novels.
