- Diyora’s professional experience includes teaching students of different ages and levels. In addition to teaching technical aspects of music and piano performance, Diyora also strives to develop the interest of students in the field and develop their artistic thinking and abilities while fostering a fun learning environment. She believes that passion, creativity and encouragement are essential qualities of a music instructor.
Growing up in Tashkent in the family of musicians, Diyora began studying music and piano performance intensively at the Specialized Music School named after V. Uspensky at the age of seven. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan with honors. She is a recent graduate at Syracuse University (master’s degree) where she studied with Steinway Artist Steven Heyman. Diyora’s professional experience includes teaching students of different ages and levels. At Syracuse University, Diyora was a graduate assistant at the Keyboard Skills classes for undergraduate students as well as the collaborative pianist for the vocal and instrumental performers. While working at the Specialized Music School named after V. Uspensky, she taught piano including middle school and high school students and prepared preschool children for admission while teaching them music theory and piano. Throughout her work with children, she has developed the ability to explain complex information in an easy and accessible manner.
This fall 2021, Diyora is pursuing her Professional Studies Program at the Mannes School of Music under the guidance of Professor Pavlina Dokovska. Diyora is an award winning pianist. She received top awards in competitions including “Le Muse” International Piano Competition; Teddy Kilian Empire State Competition in Rochester NY, as well as gold medal at the Golden Key Festival, NYC, where part of the award was the recital at Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall. Diyora also took part in the training program (private piano and chamber music lessons) with renowned musicians from Ensemble Recherche in Freiburg, Germany, and performed in the concerts at the venues of Hochschule für Musik Freiburg and Ensemble- Akademie Freiburg. Her repertoire includes different styles and eras: in addition to classical piano repertoire, she widely performed the compositions of living renowned composers at the various international festivals.
