Recently graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, I have used music to serve and help people with special needs in different ages and cultures for more than 3 years. I also taught drums, piano & guitar privately for over 10 years. I had the chance to teach students with different cultures & languages, going from 5 years old to 80 years old. My approach is always having fun in music first.
Edmund T. has been playing drum set since the age of 12. He was accepted into one of the best music schools in the world, Berklee College of Music where he majored in Music Therapy and minored in Psychology. Through numerous pre-clinical experiences provided at Berklee College of Music, Edmund as a student music therapist has actively worked for different populations in the Boston area, such as students with special needs, elderlies in dementia units, adults in psychiatric units, etc. His experience as an intern has given him knowledge of working with patients with all types of backgrounds. In addition, he has learned to build a strong rapport with children.
Other than music therapy skills, Edmund has more than 14 years of performance experience (drum set, piano & guitar) in Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Boston and New York. After being taught by the great Mark Walker, a Grammy Award-winning drummer, he gained valuable performing skills in different music styles. In 2018, Edmund graduated from Berklee College of Music and moved to NYC as a music therapist and professional musician.
