Experience:

Elan teaches in NYC and NJ and is available to come to your home to teach or to host a lesson in his music studio on the UWS of Manhattan.  He is capable of teaching young students (Kindergarden) and adults, beginners and the most advanced players looking to tighten their musical performance and abilities.

Education:

Graduate of NYU (Bachelors in Music).

Graduate of Berklee College of Music  5 week Summer Performance Program.

Elan is a professional pop and jazz musician and producer who plays all around the city and studied at NYU and Berklee College of Music.  He was selected to play in the Berklee all star jazz band and has gone on lead and arrange for big bands and rock groups. He has experience teaching music lessons to all ages. He’s recorded dozens of songs and continues to write and record.

Since he was 15 years old, Elan has taught kids younger than him in his hometown of West Orange and has continued teaching after attending NYU. He enjoys playing Billy Joel, The Beatles, and Duke Elington and loves music and sharing what he’s learned over his 17+ years playing piano and guitar.  He graduated from The NYU Steinhardt School in music business, and spent two summers at Berklee College Of Music learning jazz piano and bluegrass guitar.  Elan is also able to teach music software programs, such as garage band, Ableton and ProTools.
