For a decade now, she has been engaged in providing private piano and singing instruction ever since she relocated to New York. Elena’s teaching portfolio encompasses both children and adults in small groups, at music institutions in New York City, Westchester and Long Island. During the pandemic, she seamlessly transitioned to online instruction, offering piano and voice lessons to students worldwide, forging connections with learners from across the globe.
For over a decade, Elena has been imparting her expertise through teaching in schools, offering private singing and piano lessons. Her teaching methodology centers on tailoring exercises to address the specific needs of each individual student, effectively resolving technical challenges through user-friendly techniques, all while exercising patience.
Furthermore, she fosters a supportive environment for students of all ages, motivating them to formulate their own objectives and goals.
Bio
Elena H., soprano, was born and grew up in a musical family in Korea. Her father was a conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra, her mother was a singing teacher.
After finishing her freshman year studying voice and piano at Yonsei university, she moved to Rome, Italy to study music. She attained a Bachelor’s degree from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia.
Participating in the Academia Chigiana Summer Master classes led by Prof. Daniel Ferro from New York’s Juilliard School of Music, Elena delved into a rich learning experience. A couple of years later, she made the significant decision to relocate to New York City and embarked on a journey of auditions.
Her debut recital concert took place at the Carnegie Weill concert hall, where she performed with a selection of Italian art songs. Subsequently, her journey in New York City included concerts, opera performances, and roles, both in the city itself and in Italy.
