Emily has many years experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels, including as an Adjunct Faculty member at New York University when pursuing her Master of Music degree. She loves to share the joy of music with others.
A native New Yorker, Emily M. has performed as a solo pianist and chamber musician for audiences near and far. A recent graduate of New York University as a student of Eteri Andjapridze, Emily received her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance this past fall. She has performed abroad and in various major Manhattan concert venues, among these, Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Steinway Hall, Tenri Cultural Institute and as a featured soloist for events held at New York’s Gracie Mansion. In 2015, Emily was the featured artist at a special screening for Ethan Hawke’s documentary Seymour: An Introduction, at St. Bartholomew’s Church, honoring her former teacher Seymour Bernstein. A participant in numerous international and local summer chamber festivals, Emily was selected as an Artist-in-Residence at Manchester Music Festival’s 40th Season in 2014. In the spring of 2018, Emily curated and performed a full-length collaborative recital in celebration of the Dorflinger Glass Museum’s Opening Night Gala event in Hawley, Pennsylvania. Based in Manhattan, Emily currently teaches privately, at The Browning School, and with Music for Your Home. In addition to her music, Emily enjoys traveling, food blogging, cooking and is an avid visual artist and composer.
