Experience
Erica has taught piano to a wide age range of students all across the five boroughs for more than a decade. Additionally, she has worked as a musical director and classroom teacher for a variety of ensembles ranging from elementary band groups to Broadway productions.
Bio
Erica started taking piano lessons as a young girl, and has always been eager to someday give to her own students what her music teachers gave to her: a sense of accomplishment, knowledge, openness, and discipline.
Erica had always been involved in her grade school band, chorus, and musical pit ensembles. By the age of 15, she was selected to star in a GAP commercial with Tony Bennett to promote music programs in schools. As she entered college, her genre focus gravitated from classical to jazz, leading her to the wonderful opportunity of studying privately with Arturo O’Farrill, who instilled and solidified in her a great love and esteem for music education.
Post graduation, Erica works as an accompanist, educator, and performer in NYC. She finds the most joy in her one-on-one lessons and is keen to build long-term relationships with new students!
