Gillian has experience teaching piano, cello, and guitar over the span of a decade to students ranging from age two to sixty-two. She specializes in teaching classical, jazz, pop, and rock. Her lessons focus on fusing music theory with technique, and incorporate overall musicality and showmanship.



Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Business with a Concentration in Piano Performance from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.

Gillian O. has been studying the piano for over twenty years, cello for nineteen, and guitar for fifteen. She graduated from the Crane School of Music with a degree in Music Business/Piano Performance and will be attending Feirstein Graduate School for a Master’s in Media Scoring in the fall. She has also studied the mandolin, guitar, voice, banjo, ukulele, and drums and is well-versed in the classical, jazz, and rock genres. She has performed with multiple choirs, symphony orchestras, jazz ensembles, and has accompanied a variety of instrumentalists. She also leads American Fever, an NYC-based indie-rock band that opened for Gotye earlier this year.
