Hunter has been teaching guitar for over five years to students of all ages. He specializes in teaching Classical, Jazz, Blues, Rock, and Contemporary styles. Hunter finds that a wholesome approach to education produces the most beneficial outcome for students and teachers alike. On top of musical and technical proficiency, he strives for his students to learn how to develop a strong work ethic.

Hunter was born and raised in Upstate New York. He began playing the clarinet at age ten, and subsequently began to learn the guitar at age thirteen. Hunter performed with rock bands before college, then began to focus on Classical Guitar. He now spends much of his time performing solo recitals, wedding receptions, cocktail parties, or premiering new music with the vocal group,ÖS Ensemble. Hunter has studied guitar with Marcin Dylla, Adam Holzman, Martha Masters, Chris Stell, Alex Tsiboulski, and Doug Rubio. He attended the inaugural year of the guitar program at the Brevard Music Center Festival.
