Isabel is from Leawood, KS and is currently pursuing a Masters of Music in piano at Mannes School of Music under the direction of Dr. Vladimir Valjarevic. She received her Bachelors of Music from the University of Kansas studying with department chair, Dr. Jack Winerock. She has performed at international music festivals such as the IIYM, Brevard and MusicFest Perugia and as a soloist accompanied by orchestras in Italy, Kansas and Missouri. She was awarded the Gladys Casford Memorial Scholarship, first prize in the KMTA Collegiate Auditions and was a finalist in the International Young Artist Piano Competition. She has found teaching beginner and intermediate students to be a fun, valuable addition to her own studies for the past 8 years. She aspires to bring concepts into focus and spark the joy of music for each student, as her teachers have done for her.
