Jane S.

Piano, Trumpet

Known for her clear, ringing sound and wide versatility, trumpeter Jane S. is quickly becoming a familiar name in the New York music scene. Her experience ranges from classical solos, to cruise ships, national Broadway tours, and off-Broadway musicals. She has shared the stage with such renowned artists as Byron Stripling, Lee Fields, Lionel Cole, Deana Martin, and Bill Watrous.

Jane received her Bachelors in Trumpet Performance from Capital University in Columbus, OH, and her Masters in Jazz Studies from Indiana University Bloomington. She also studied piano for 13 years and still plays regularly for fun. Jane’s teaching career began in high school when she started teaching beginning piano in her hometown of Bluffton, OH. Since then, she has continued to teach both trumpet and piano on her own as her traveling and schedule allows.

Jane is now based in Manhattan and gigging regularly on trumpet.
