Josie has experience teaching both children and college students. She teaches lessons in guitar and also has experience with DJ lessons.
Bio
Josie S. is a conservatory-trained classical guitarist and musician with a passion for teaching, community building, interdisciplinary performance, songwriting, and music production. She began studying classical guitar at the age of 10 in Saint Louis, Missouri. From middle to high school Josie performed and competed regularly both as a soloist and in multiple ensembles, quartets, and duos around the United States. Her list of masterclasses includes world renowned guitarists: Olivier Chassain, Thibaut Garcia, Celil Refik Kaya, Gohar Vardanyan, David Leisner, Xavier Jara, Thomas Viloteau and Xuefei Yang. While pursuing a Bachelor’s of Music in Classical Guitar Performance at Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Josie also studied music production and recording, obtaining a minor in Technology in Music and Related Arts (TIMARA).
