Experience
Kin’s passion does not only apply to solo performance, but also to chamber, orchestral and most importantly teaching. Kin has been teaching since 2019, working with students from children to adults for one on one and group classes. Kin’s teachings focuses on both musical and technical aspects, believing both have the same importance. With the experience of studying with multiple renowned professors and soloists, Kin summarizes the key elements of each teacher and passes on to his students.
Bio
Hong Kong classical cellist Kin C. is currently pursuing his masters degree in Manhattan School of Music under Prof. David Geber and Prof. Julia Lichten with scholarships. His previous education includes his undergraduate study in The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts under Prof. Ray Wang with full scholarship. During his undergraduate study, Kin has received multiple opportunities with great compliments with his teaching. He taught both solo and group classes. Kin was also elected as the the resident cellist of the Pacific Cello Orchestra in which he coached ensemble groups. As an active performer, Kin has performed in the Carnegie Weill Hall as the cello principal of the New York Chamber players, the soloist with the Hong Kong Children’s Symphony Orchestra and the principal cellist of the Manhattan School of Music Orchestra as well as The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
