Luke has 10+ years teaching experience in a variety of disciplines including piano, voice, drums, guitar, songwriting, and more. He has taught privately in both one-on-one and classroom settings. His students have ranged in age from 3 to 70!
Luke is a NYC-based multi-instrumentalist, composer/songwriter, and educator whose primary areas of interest include musical theatre, classical, and American folk music styles. As a musician, he has performed everywhere from pubs in London to Carnegie Hall. As a writer, he has had work performed all across the country (including off- broadway). His philosophy of education supports the idea that everyone should be given the opportunity to learn a musical discipline through the types of music that they enjoy listening to, alongside and in conjunction with a repertoire of time-tested and invaluable musical pieces in a variety of styles. Luke’s teaching style is fun and relaxed with an emphasis on communication — e.g. how to implement really good practice strategies, what to do when feeling frustrated or stuck, etc.
