While at Vassar, she performed in multiple recitals, musicals, and operas, notably singing La Fée in Vassar College Opera Workshop’s production of Viardot’s Cendrillon in 2014 and the Sandman in the VC Student Co-OPERA-tive’s 2015 production of Hansel and Gretel that she also directed. In 2015, she won the Vassar College Orchestra’s Concerto Competition and made her orchestral debut with them in 2016.
Madeline studied abroad at the University of Bologna in Italy in 2014 and gained linguistic fluency while studying under Italian soprano Patrizia Vaccari and performing with the historic Collegium Musicum Almae Matris. Also in Italy, she performed the role of Morgana in Oberlin in Italy’s production of Alcina in 2016 and studied under Ubbaldo Fabbri and Glenn Morton at Classic Lyric Arts’ La Lingua della Lirica program in 2014.
