Maggie was born in Chengdu, China. Maggie started to play the piano at the age of 4 in the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. She has performed in various concert venues throughout China, North America and Europe. Some venues include the Teatro Pavone in Perugia, Joseph Joachim Concert Hall in Universität der Künste Berlin, Neidorff-Karpati Hall and Carl and Lily Pforzheimer Hall in New York City.
Maggie has also participated in many music festivals, including the International Music Summer Festival in Leipzig, International Academy of Music in Italy. She has worked with many well renowned pianists, including Markus Groh and Thomas Rosenkranz.
Besides pursuing a solo career, Maggie is also a very active chamber musician, she has worked with Gregg Pauley, and Michal Tal, Peter Winograd, Jonathan Klibonoff and Gerald Robbins.
Maggie has been giving private piano lessons for 5 years with all levels and ages. Since teaching is one of her biggest passions, her goal in teaching piano is to share the passion for music and to inspire students. She studied piano pedagogy with Marjean Olson for one year and advanced teaching technique with Carol Aicher for several months, both during her time at Manhattan School of Music.
She just recently received her bachelor’s degree in Classical Piano Performance at Manhattan School of Music in New York City with renowned professor Phillip Kawin.
