Bio

Mark is a NYC-based saxophonist and bandleader. Mark has performed/recorded with Quincy Jones, Christian McBride, Jon Faddis, Bernard Purdie, Max Weinberg, Jon Hendricks, Steven Bernstein, as well as commercial artists James Ingram, Patti Austin, The OJays, Patti LuPone, Chaka Khan, Rita Moreno, Norm Lewis, Keith David, Savion Glover, and The Falcons.

Mark released his recent record Tribute on Cellar Music in 2020.

He has performed at the New York City Ballet, the LA Phil, Kennedy Center, Apollo Theater, LA’s Disney Concert Hall, Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Town Hall, Folly Theater (KC), Detroit Jazz Festival, and Chicago Blues Festival.

He has played jazz clubs around the globe–Birdland NYC, Birdland (Vienna). Dizzy’s Club New York, Half Note (Athens), Fasching (Stockholm), Green Mill (Chicago), Nefertiti (Goteborg), The Derby (LA), and Dakota (St. Paul) to name a few.

Mark has played orchestra pits for Broadway shows Hairspray, All Shook Up, and The Harlem Nutcracker, Smokey Joe’s Café (Off-Broadway). He has appeared on the PBS TV show Mark Twain Prize, and radio on A Prairie Home Companion. He appears on stage in the Robert DeNiro film The Good Shepherd.
