Experience
Max is a pianist teaching in the New York City area. He loves teaching. At Oberlin, he took classes in Piano Pedagogy; and he has experience teaching kids, young adults, and adults. In New York City and at Oberlin, he has taught a range of people; from cautious adult beginners, to talented college age students, to high energy nine-year olds.
As a teacher he aims to tailor lessons to each student’s strengths and weaknesses. No matter your age, experience, or ambition; Max is prepared to make piano playing a joy.
Bio
Max grew up in Westfield, New Jersey where he began classical piano at the age of six. He has had three different piano teachers in his life, and each teacher imparted something different about piano and music. As a teacher himself, Max hopes to nurture his students’ passion for music and its capacity to express what is hard to express with words.
Max attended Oberlin Conservatory where he received a rigorous education that covered all facets of music and music-making. Oberlin Conservatory was a warm community where everyone loved music. He aims to bring the joyful love of music he found at Oberlin to his piano teaching.
