Natalia absolutely loves teaching and believes that every student has unlimited potential for vocal improvement. Her goal as a teacher is to help students discover their own voice. Natalia enjoys working with students on a variety of genres including musical theater, pop, folk and classical. She quickly becomes familiar with each students’ personal goals, experiences and challenges and uses strategies that help them reach their goals in the most efficient way possible. Natalia knows that a warm and caring environment helps students bring out their unique talents and flourish as artists and she always strives to create such an environment.
Bio
Versatile soprano and actress Natalia B. enjoys performing a combination of musical theater, operatic and art song repertoire. Natalia holds the Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, MA, with prior training through the Juilliard evening division and the HB studio in Manhattan. An active performer, Natalia appeared this season with both New Jersey Opera Theater and Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera company. Past season highlights include the role of First Actress in the musical A My Name is Alice (Silver/Boyd) as well as excerpts of Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart) and Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof (Bock/Harnick/Stein) with Opera Viva in Verona, Italy. Natalia also created the role of Charlatan Woman in the world premiere of the opera Mondo Novo by Paul Richards at the Vienna Summer Music Festival.
