Nick is a native Bostonian with roots in folk, soul, and classic rock. After taking rudimentary piano lessons from a young age, he picked up the guitar at age 12 and hasn’t put it down since. Returning to his classical roots, he received a B.A. in music performance from Ithaca College’s music conservatory specializing in classical guitar and has been living in the NYC area since 2011. He started a bluegrass band in late 2013 and started teaching himself banjo and mandolin. Since then, he currently teaches Clawhammer and Scruggs style banjo classes at The Jalopy Theater & Music School and has several private students for both banjo and mandolin.
