Bio

Olive is a vocalist, actor, songwriter and producer with a strong foundation in piano basics and music theory, as well as an education in and passion for music therapy. They spent their younger years training and performing in the musical theater world, mastering skills such as delivery, diction, healthy vocal technique and stage presence. After their time at Berklee School of Music, they began working as a music therapist and shifted towards writing and producing original music. They have since become the vocalist of an up and coming New York based heavy rock band called Ghosts Of Hope.

Going from widely recognized community theater work with the award winning company A Class Act NY to garnering over 50,000 streams on their band’s first two singles across Apple Music and Spotify alone and selling out the beloved Manhattan concert venue, Mercury Lounge, their experience as a performer ranges across musical bounds helping to shape the broad range of skills they are able to pass on to their students. They especially enjoy teaching their students how to project their voices with confidence and strength, write music that comes from the heart, command a crowd in live performance, and refine their vocal abilities to cover a wide range of styles powerfully and healthily– from the classic styles of Broadway to the gritty, raw sounds of rock and metal. Their background in music therapy has given them a compassionate approach to teaching music to special needs students of all abilities and skill levels, focusing mostly on freedom of expression and finding joy through music.
