Bio

Olivia G. is a clarinet and piano instructor from Northport, NY, with a Bachelor’s degree in music performance from The Eastman School of Music. Olivia has studied with Michael Wayne of The Boston Symphony Orchestra, Jon Manasse of The All-Star Orchestra and Kenneth Grant of The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed in venues at The Eastman School of Music, Mannes College The New School for Music, The Juilliard School, Curtis Institute of Music, Buffet Crampon New York Showroom, Oheka Castle and The Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater.

Olivia was accepted on the spot at The Eastman School of Music, and was the first clarinetist to be awarded The Maurita Murphy Marx George Eastman Circle Scholarship. Her awards include The Friends of Oheka Scholarship, The Stanley Drucker Award, Mannes College The New School for Music Concerto Competition, and The Howard Hanson Award. Olivia is heavily invested in creating a better future for the arts, leading her to create the organization Womxn Mean Business alongside Naomi Nakanishi and Luisa Hidalgo. Womxn Mean Business is an organization dedicated to gender and racial equity in the arts, giving lectures and performances throughout The United States. Womxn Mean Business has been featured in Eastman’s 22 Outstanding Women for 2020, University of Rochester’s University Times, and will be guest lecturing at The University of North Texas this year for Women’s History Month.
