Bio
As a student of the Jazz Studies Program at Juilliard (BM, 2019-2023), Peter was guided by a number of jazz drumming greats including Billy Drummond and Kenny Washington and also spent some time with Juilliard Jazz Studies Chairman, Wynton Marsalis exploring the importance of Jazz as a tool for musical and social expression.
For several years, Peter studied with drummer and composer, Don Peretz, who helped him flourish as a drummer and musician. In addition to having a mentor and strong high school music experience, Peter studied and traveled extensively as a member of important jazz programs including Jazz House Kids in Montclair, NJ; Vail Jazz Workshop/Festival, Vail, CO; Young Arts NYC; and was twice accepted into the prestigious Next Generation Big Band which traveled to Japan in 2018 as part of the Tokyo Jazz Festival.
Currently residing in NYC, Peter has performed at Dizzy’s-Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Alice Tully Concert Hall, The Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Smalls, Nublu, The Django, Rockwood Music Hall and many other notable venues.
In his free time, Peter loves to be out in nature but specifically loves to fly fish and guide those new to fly fishing.
