Bio

Rebekah is a North Carolina-born singer, composer, music director, and musical theater enthusiast, located in NYC. Throughout her 10+ year career in music, she has sung and played piano in a rock band for kids, served as music director for childrens, community, and regional theater productions, and taught full-time in the elementary music classroom. She has arranged music for high-school and college a cappella ensembles, as well as arranged/orchestrated songs for pop music concerts and musical theater productions. Rebekah has taught students from 4 years old to retirees who want to pick up singing as a hobby, and she particularly enjoys teaching a combined voice/piano lesson, where students learn the basics of songwriting. Rebekah’s songwriting influences are Sara Bareilles, Jeanine Tesori, and Cole Porter. Favorite acting roles include Rose in Dogfight, Bex in Godspell (2012 revival Lindsay track), and Mary/Actor-Musician ensemble in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812.
