Ryan has taught private lessons and has taught 3rd & 4th grade music classes at an elementary school in New Jersey. He has interned with NASA arts and worked with universities to communicate exciting science to the public. He has also worked in the music for multimedia industry, creating music for film, advertisements, and content creators.
Ryan P. is a multi-instrumentalist and composer originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has performed with jazz combos, school bands, and rock bands throughout southern Michigan, as well as abroad in Paris and Normandy. As a composer and songwriter, he has brought his musical talents to a variety of industries including film, video games, advertisements, orchestral commissions, and science communication. He recently wrote music for a neuroscience study at Columbia University, in which participants listened to his music in an fMRI to observe patterns of brain activity. He has also worked with NASA, the Natural History Museum, and universities to share and promote their work through music. He has even had some of his work sent to outer space via Blue Origin’s 2nd Human Flight!
Ryan is passionate about teaching and sharing the wonder of music with others. He strives to give his students the tools they need to enjoy and express themselves through music in all of its possibilities. He teaches piano, saxophone, and guitar as well as composition, songwriting, and electronic production.
