Samantha has been teaching students of all ages since 2012. She loves catering lessons to the students and frequently incorporates improvisation, music theory, and music history.

Flutist Samantha M. is an international performer, speaker, and writer. She has given solo recitals since the age of 17 that include classical, jazz, pop, and folk works, and often include arrangements of her own composition. In addition, she has entered and won numerous National and Regional competitions, including the National Flute Association Masterclass Competition (2013), first place in the Flute Society of Washington’s Young Artist Competition (2016), and finalist in the New York Flute Club Competition (2018).
As an author, she has founded and held the position of editor-in-chief of several publications, including the Carolina Flute Guild at USC Newsletter (2015-16) and her personal blog entitled Home Cooking for Broke College Students. As a speaker, her voice has graced the stage of Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center and been heard worldwide from the WTJU radio station where she contributes shows to the Classical Sunrise program.
Samantha has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Carolina, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and studied under Jennifer Parker-Harley. She received her Masters Degree and the prestigious “Founder’s Award” at the Mannes School of Music in New York City studying with Keith Underwood. Other former teachers include Angela Fratturro Kelly and John D’earth.
