Sean J. has a Bachelor’s of Music from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music in Studio Composition and for the last 6 years has been teaching both Violin and Viola in both New York and Connecticut. He is comfortable teaching both beginner and intermediate students, and is well versed in multiple styles and genres.

Sean J. began studying violin at the age of 6 from Bill Monroe fiddler, Gene Lowinger. After playing for 3 years and participating in multiple competitions in New Jersey he moved to Albany, NY. In Albany, he participated in the Empire State Youth Orchestra and ventured further into classical music under the instruction of Joseph Gumpper and Jamecyn Morey. Sean also participated in both the All State Symphony Orchestra, and the All Eastern Symphony Orchestra.

In college, he ventured into songwriting and composition and is currently performing his own works in the NYC area. He has played in multiple bands in New York and has arranged music for various artists.
