  • In addition to her ensemble coaching and years of violin instruction, Soulbin teaches both violin and piano through her private studio and in school based programs. She works with students of all ages and levels, tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style and goals. Her teaching philosophy centers on meeting each student where they are and fostering growth through curiosity, joy, and thoughtful guidance. She emphasizes strong technical foundations while encouraging creativity and individual expression. Whether guiding a young beginner or an advancing teen, she helps her students find confidence, voice, and connection through music.

Bio

Violinist and educator Soulbin L. brings a warm, student centered approach to teaching that blends her professional performance experience with inclusive, individualized instruction. She holds a Master of Music degree in Classical Violin Performance from Manhattan School of Music, where she studied under Todd Phillips on the Presidential Scholarship, and a Bachelor of Music from Mannes School of Music under Lewis Kaplan and Yibin Li. Soulbin has performed with orchestras including the Gangneung Philharmonic and Seocho Philharmonic, and has appeared at international festivals such as Festival Napa Valley, the Mozarteum Summer Academy, Cremona International Music Festival, and the Sesto Rocchi Chamber Festival.

As an active chamber musician, she was recently invited to the Portillo Music Festival in Chile, where she performed and worked closely with members of the American String Quartet. Her recent solo and ensemble appearances include the Korean War Memorial Peace Concert Series across Guatemala, Washington, D.C., and New York City.
