Experience
Tom has experience teaching kids from 5-18 piano, music theory, and voice privately, as well as adults both beginning and intermediate. Tom hosted recitals for private students as well as during my time with a privately owned music school out of PA.
Bio
Tom H. has been a musician since the age of 4. He studied piano and voice privately from the age of 6 to 18. Tom also has experience with flute. During his high school career he performed in symphonic band, as well as the marching band where they traveled to the Bahamas and performed on the Royal Caribbean cruise line.
Tom was also selected to travel with America Music Abroad where he performed in many different churches and stadiums in many different countries including Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and France. Tom graduated from Westminster Choir College of Rider university in 2009 and started privately teaching shortly after.
Tom believes that anyone who truly wants to learn an instrument can. There is “talent” sure, but if you desire to learn an instrument and you put the work in, you can become something to listen to. He uses music theory in every lesson, as well as combining ear training with music reading, something he feels every musician should know. Whether someone is looking to add a new talent, work on their existing talent, or getting ready for a talent show, Tom is ready and willing to help make their dream a reality.
