- Louis studied at Florida State University, completing his degree in guitar performance.
Experience
Wes has been teaching private lessons in guitar, piano, bass, and ukulele for over 8 years in the NYC metro area. Alongside one-on-one lessons, Wes has also been a Teaching Assistant for summer music workshops, working with and nurturing the development of hundreds of young musicians over the years. While Wes has spent many years in the world of jazz, he is equally at home in rock, pop, folk, and classical guitar styles.
Bio
Wes W. grew up in Cranford, New Jersey in a musical family which supported his journey from a young age. His first experience in music education and performance was at various music schools based in Montclair, NJ, granting him opportunities to learn from luminaries like Christian McBride, Dave Stryker, Mike Lee, and Julius Tolentino. Wes would continue studying jazz guitar at William Paterson University, crossing paths with Bill Charlap and Gene Bertoncini. In 2020, Wes had the distinct honor of joining the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra as part of their virtual “Concert For Our Culture” event, and currently Wes is regularly playing in all kinds of scenarios in NYC, including jazz gigs, theater productions, and a rock band.
