Yiran has multiple years of teaching violin to both young children and adults. She applied her professional skills into her interactive violin pedagogy.
Bio
Born and Raised in China, Yiran has been playing violin since the age of 7. Her talent in violin was discovered at a very young age. She was selected to attend the Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music (Considered one of the most elite music schools in China for young musical prodigies) at age of 14 studying under Wei Yun. In 2012 Yiran moved to America to pursue her violin study at Oberlin Conservatory of Music studying under Marilyn McDonald with full scholorship. She was also the winner of the Concerto Competition in the year of 2016 and performed in Finney Chapel with the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra as the winner soloist. In 2017 after taking a six months gap Yiran came back from China to continue her graduate studies at Manhattan School of Music studying with Issac Malkin. In the two years studying at MSM, Yiran, as an exceptional violinist was chosen to perform in masterclasses with many of the greatest violinists such as Augustin Hadelich, the concertmaster of the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra, David Kim, etc. Yiran also studied chamber music with Peter Winograd, the member of the American String Quartet.
