- BM from Suny Purchase in Jazz Performance.
- I have taught ever since I was 14 and I love sharing my knowledge and experiences this way. My lessons are all about setting up my students to succeed and creating a positive environment for them. I seek for them to get a good sound, feeling, and look on the instrument, all as quickly and naturally as possible. I also seek to ignite the passion for music in my students. I’m grateful for music, as it has taken me to amazing places and stages around the world, and also because I get to spend my days sharing the feelings I get through this beautiful art form, whether on stage, in the studio, or in lessons. Zach has taught at several schools in New York & Colorado and maintains an active studio of private lessons with students ranging in ages and levels.
Zach B. is from Colorado and has lived in New York for 5 years. In Colorado he was heavily involved in the marching percussion scene; he was the captain in his high school’s drumline which gave him great experience in running rehearsals. Zach also performed professionally in WGI at age 16 and toured the country with Drum Corps International at 18. After this he came to New York to study at SUNY Purchase in the jazz program, which was an amazing experience, studying with greats such as Kenny Washington, John Riley, Jon Faddis, and Hal Galper. This set him up to have a professional career in New York City, where he performs & records as a drummer & also produces electronic music.
