Since her debut at the Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall in 2008, violinist Susan H. has been regularly performing as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. She has appeared at prestigious venues such as Avery Fisher Hall and Alice Tully Hall of Lincoln Center, the Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall and the Apollo Theater.
Susan was selected to participate in the Kurt Masur Seminar Orchestra and has served as the assistant concertmaster of the Philharmonia, Symphony and Chamber Sinfonia Orchestras at the Manhattan School of Music. She has performed with conductors Kurt Masur, Leonard Slatkin, Philippe Entremont, Gintaras Rinkevicius, and George Manahan. As an avid chamber musician, she has participated in masterclasses with members of the Borodin String Quartet, American String Quartet, as well as former members of the Tokyo String Quartet. In 2009, she won the Associated Music Teachers League, Inc. competition in New York and received awards from the Greenwich Village Orchestra Competition. In addition, Susan was the winner of the Jeanne Dale Katz Award, Henry Levine Award, Blanch S. Levy Award and the Selma W. Berkman Scholarship.
She is currently based in New York City, where she performs and teaches regularly.
