Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Timothy has devoted his life to performing and teaching music.

From a young age, Timothy has had a passion for music. Timothy’s mother often jokes that even as a toddler, he would drum on anything that was tied down. Despite his early love of drumming, it would take him a couple of years to learn that this would be his weapon of choice. Timothy experimented with the trumpet and played for about a year before deciding to switch to playing the drums; from that moment on he knew the drums were his life.

Timothy has had the honor of broadening his musical career from performing with various honor bands throughout high school to ensembles throughout college. Past performances include the College Band Directors National Association in (Reno, NV), Kennedy Center (Washington, D.C), Walt Disney Concert Hall in (LA), Reno Jazz Festival (Reno, NV), Carnegie Hall in (NYC) and many more.

He also performed with the Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corp from ’06-’08.  Simultaneously, Timothy taught at multiple high schools in the Southern California area.  Azusa High School, Gladstone High School, Santiago High School, and Workman High School, to name a few.

Timothy received a full scholarship to Mt. San Antonio College where he studied the styles of Orchestral Percussion, Jazz Studies, and Percussion Ensemble. He eventually finished his undergraduate studies at Berklee College of Music and as of May 2015, he has also earned a Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies from New York University.

Throughout his educational career, he has studied under John Scofield, Ron McClure, Alan Ferber, Billy Drummond, Ari Hoenig, Jeff Ellwood, Martin Wind, Ian Froman, Bob Gulloti, Mark Walker, Ralph Peterson Jr., Terri Lynne Carrington, Skip Hadden, Bob Kaufman, Neil Smith and Jeremy Brown.
