Experience:

Served on the piano faculty at The International School of Music in Bethesda, MD teaching piano lessons to children and adults, growing my studio to over 44 students in two years.  Taught at the Maryland Music Academy for children ranging in age from 3-18 and adults.  Served as a pianist for a middle school chorus and accompanied their winter and spring recitals.

Antonio began studying piano as a child with Mrs. Joselyn Cross Makowski, the President of the Maryland State Music Teachers Association. During his youth, Antonio won first prize in several piano competitions held by the Maryland State Music Teachers Association, including the 1997 and 1998 Composers Circle, the 2001 Gertrude S. Brown Memorial Concerto Competition, and the 2004 Piano Solo event of the MSMTA.

Upon completing pre-collegiate training at The Manhattan School of Music, Antonio received his Bachelor of Music at the Eastman School of Music with a concentration in piano performance. Antonio has studied piano performance with Thomas Schumacher, Dr. Enrico Elisi, and Dr. Donn-Alexandre Feder, and collaborative piano with Dr. Jean Barr. Antonio was also trained in piano pedagogy by Tony Caramia. Recent performances have included a solo engagement with the Grammy-nominated Eastman Wind Ensemble and a collaborative engagement with Renee Fleming and the Eastman Philharmonia.
