Julia is a passionate teacher. In addition to running a private studio in Manhattan, she taught private and group music lessons for two years as a Teaching Fellow in Juilliard’s Music Advancement Program. She is currently receiving her Suzuki Teacher Training at the School for Strings in New York City with Pamela Devenport.
Julia is a graduate of The Juilliard School (MM ‘16), where she studied with Timothy Eddy, and Oberlin Conservatory (BM ‘14), studying with Darrett Adkins.
Cellist Julia H. made her solo debut with the Saint Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra in 2009, performing Dvorak’s Cello Concerto. More recently, Julia has performed in orchestral and chamber music concerts throughout New York City, including concerts as part of Juilliard’s Chamberfest and Focus! Festival at Lincoln Center. She has attended Aspen and Bowdoin music festivals, among others, and for the past two summers has been on the faculty of the Montserrat Music Festival in Montserrat, West Indies, where she teaches and performs chamber music.
