Cellist Isabel F. is active in New York City as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral musician, and teacher. She has degrees in cello performance from the Manhattan School of Music and Boston University, and her primary teachers include David Geber, George Neikrug, Andres Diaz, and David Soyer. Isabel has performed in recitals and concerts throughout the United States and China. Festival appearances include the Banff International Masterclasses, Roundtop Music Festival, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Tanglewood Institute, and the Orpheus Institute. She has also performed in concerts at Merkin Concert Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Krannert Center, the NABI Gallery, and at the United Nations Friendship Summit. Along with violinist Hilary Castle, she is the co-founder of C I R C E Duo and Ensemble. Intent on featuring the “creative collaboration” as a new form, C I R C E welcomes and seeks out opportunities to work with other artists to create experiences where different mediums inspire and elevate each other. Projects include collaborations with artists in the fields of cuisine, visual arts, composition, film, and dance. In addition to a large private studio, Isabel is on the cello faculty at several music schools. Isabel plays an Italian cello, made in 1910 by Carlo Carletti.
