Alyssa received her Masters of Music from Manhattan School of Music and her Bachelors of Music from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.

New York City based flutist Alyssa G. enjoys a vibrant career as a performer, educator and entrepreneur. Dedicated to chamber music, Alyssa is the Founder and Director of the Nassau Chamber Music Society on Long Island. She is the flutist of Rebow-Ensemble, a dynamic NYC based collective performing a wide range of works in multiple formations. As an orchestral, chamber, and solo performer, she has appeared in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space, Avery Fischer Hall, and Alice Tully Hall. Throughout her career, she has had the pleasure of working with renowned conductors such as Kurt Masur, Jaques Lacombe, George Manahan and Keith Lockhart. She was the first prize winner of the Kentucky Flute Society Duo Competition, the Mason Gross Concerto Competition, Atlantic Winds Concerto Competition, and she placed second in the Eisenberg-Fried Concerto Competition. Alyssa has performed in numerous masterclasses for renowned flutists such as Robert Langevin, William Bennet, Stefan Hoskuldsson, Keith Underwood, Marianne Gedigian and Stefanie Mortimore. She has participated in festivals such as the Orford Center for the Arts, Pierre Monteux, Oxford International Flute Summer School, and Brevard Music Center. As passionate teacher, Alyssa has presented numerous masterclasses and clinics for young musicians throughout the city and abroad. She has maintained an active teaching studio in New York City and Long Island for many years. This summer she joins the faculty of Camp MSM at Manhattan School of Music teaching flute lessons, theory classes and coaching chamber music. She is also a Distance Learning Teaching Artist for MSM.  Her principal teachers include Linda Chesis, Kaoru Hinata, and Bart Feller.
