Raisa has taught private and group piano lessons to students all over the world and enjoys sharing her knowledge with her students.
Raisa received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Piano Performance from Central Music School of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory an Classical Academy of Moscow in Russia. In 2011 she came to the U.S. to pursue her studies at Long Island Conservatory of Music on an Artist Diploma Program and continued her education at Queens College where she received her second Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance graduating with departmental honors in recognition of special achievement.
Raisa K., a classical pianist of significant stature is a distinguished soloist and chamber musician.The rise in her career began after she was awarded the fist prize at the 10th International Maria Yudina Competition in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. This was followed bu the third prize at the 13th International Competition in Bulgaria that same year. As a top prize winner, Raisa was invited as a guest to the international festival at Prince Claus Conservatorium in Holland.
In the United States, Raisa’s accolades have included the Gold Medal Winner of the 2011 Young Classical Virtuoso in piano solo and chamber music divisions in Philadelphia and First Prize Winner in the 2012 Forte International Competition in New York. She was selected as a graduate candidate to study at Baylor School of Music in Texas in Piano Performance on a full scholarship.
Active as a collaborative artist as well, Raisa has been playing with the Balsam Trio in consecutive recitals and received a scholarship from the Balsam Chamber Music Fund. She also will be releasing a CD containing music of the remarkable composers Sergey Rachmaninoff, Frederic Chopin and Franz Liszt this year.
