A multifaceted musician, trumpet player Anthony L. has played in a variety of venues and ensembles. He has appeared many times on Carnegie Hall’s Pearlman Stage, as principal trumpet of the New York Youth Symphony, receiving praise in the New York Times for his “notable” rendition of Respighi’s Pines of Rome offstage solo. His orchestral playing has also brought him in contact with the great professional orchestral players of the day, playing along side principal members of the Houston and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras in performances of repertoire ranging from Mahler’s 3rd Symphony to other major orchestral works. As a chamber musician, Anthony has performed with many brass quintets and ensembles, in venues such as Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Symphony Space, and the FOX News Studios.
Anthony holds a BM in Trumpet Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, and will be pursuing a MM in Trumpet Performance at the Juilliard School of Music in the fall of 2015, under the tutelage of Ray Mase. His teachers include Mark Gould, Ethan Bensdorf, Mike Klein and Anthony Bavota.
