Based in Manhattan, Jake has taught and performed professionally since graduating from the University of Michigan in 2010. He has had the opportunity to perform with many bands ranging from jazz, EDM, reggae, funk, and salsa across the five boroughs. He also leads his own group “The Jake Maxwell Trio” and “The Hudson Horns” which have weekly residencies in Manhattan. Jake works with students to develop a good sound and strong technique. He also enjoys teaching jazz theory and improvisation to students of all ages.
