Experience:
Daniel teaches in several music schools in the New York City area and maintains a private studio. He also teaches master classes to advanced students and has severed as a Staff Pianist at Columbia University.
Education:
In May 2014 Daniel graduated with his Masters in Piano Performance on a merit-based scholarship at Mannes College The New School For Music where he studied with Thomas Sauer (Student of Jorge Bolet) and Eteri Andjaparidze (Prize Winner of Tchaikovsky Competition.) Daniel received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music (Magna Cum Laude) where he studied with Paul Ostrovsky (Student of Emil Gilels.) Daniel began playing piano at the late age of 15 where previous teachers were, Gustave Ferri and Yuka Yanagi.

Daniel C. is a New York City based classical pianist. Acknowledged by “The New York Times,” Daniel has performed in numerous recitals at Carnegie Hall sponsored by the “Piano Teachers Society of America,” earning him the “Alumnus Achievement Award of Excellence.”
Following his 2008 debut performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no. 2 op. 18 in B flat major with MK Symphony, Daniel has gone on to perform with the Purchase Symphony Orchestra as well as performing at “Summer Piano” at SUNY Purchase. During his time at Mannes he was featured in master classes and festival concerts at Mannes and throughout the New York City. Daniel has given solo recitals at venues such as: Carnegie Hall, Bargemusic, Nicholas Roerich Museum, Spectrum NYC, Steinway Hall (NJ & Nashville), Purchase Performing Arts Center, Randolph Performing Arts Center (NJ) Coulmbia University, Princeton University, Drew University, CUNY Grad Center, NYC Churches, and many more.
As a chamber music enthusiast, Daniel has an extensive range of repertoire from duos to piano quintets and has worked with accomplished coaches such as: Victor Rosenbaum, Diana Walsh, Julia Lichten, Carmit Zori, and Members of Orion and Brentano String Quartets. Daniel’s dedication to new music led him to premiering solo works and chamber music. Also Daniel was selected to perform with MACE (Mannes American Composers Ensemble) directed by composer Lowell Liebermann. The MACE performances included works by Louis Karchin, Shulamit Ran, Lewis Spratlan, Ned Rorem, and a concert version premier of Tobias Picker’s ballet score “Awakenings.” Daniel also took this opportunity to work closely with Lowell Liebermann studying his piano works.
A finalist at the “Princeton Piano Competition,” Daniel has spent the last several summers attending the “Beethoven Institute” and “The International Keyboard Institute and Festival” at Mannes were he participated in master classes. Daniel has worked with Jerome Rose, Victor Rosenbaum, Alexander Kobrin, Boris Slutsky, Alan Feinberg and other world-renowned pianists.
Apart from his solo career Daniel is an active chamber musician, accompanist, and teacher. He is a page-turner at Bargemusic, 92nd Street Y, and Carnegie Hall.
